Privacy policy

1. Who we are
Sushin is an app published on Google Play by the developer "#elPagès". You can contact us at appsdelpages@gmail.com.
2. Data we process
We have no servers and no user accounts, and we do not receive your personal data.
Everything you enter in Sushin (names or nicknames of the people at the table, piece counts, saved meals, collection progress and settings) is stored only on your device.
Backup files you export are files you control: we never receive them.
Shared table (optional): if you host or join a shared table, the names and piece counts of that table are sent directly between the phones at the table over your local network (the same Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot). They never go through our servers or the internet, we cannot see them, and they are used only to show the same table on every phone. The connection is protected by a random code that the host shows as a QR code, but it is not encrypted: share the code only with the people at your table. The host's phone keeps the table; when the host finishes the meal, every phone saves its own copy in its history on that device.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Sushin is free thanks to ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). There are two kinds:
- A banner at the bottom of the Statistics and Collection screens. There are never ads on the counting screen.
- An optional rewarded video that you can choose to watch to create a story image of a meal. If no video is available, the image is created anyway.
When ads are shown, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (and the approximate location derived from it), technical information about your device and the app, information about your interactions with ads and performance diagnostics. Google uses this data to show, measure and improve ads and to prevent fraud, as described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent with Google's consent form before requesting ads. You can accept or refuse personalised ads; if you refuse, you may still see non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.
Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
4. Other third parties
- Sharing: when you share a story image, a backup or a link, it is sent through the app you choose (for example a messaging or social app) and is subject to that app's terms.
- Ratings: Sushin can open its Google Play page so you can rate it. This is handled by Google; we receive no data.
5. Legal basis
Advertising data is processed with your consent where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area) and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering the app for free. The data stored on your device is not processed by us.
6. Permissions
- Internet and network state: to load ads and to let phones at the same table talk to each other over the local network. Counting works without a connection.
- Camera: only when you choose "Join a table", to scan the host's QR code. Images are not recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
- Advertising ID: used by AdMob.
- Vibration: short haptic feedback while counting (you can turn it off in Settings).
Sushin keeps the screen on during a meal only while the "Keep the screen on" setting is enabled.
7. Children
Sushin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, and ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
8. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it in the app (Settings → Delete all meals), clear the app's data in your phone's settings or uninstall the app. Meals saved from a shared table are copies stored on each phone: delete them on each phone. Data processed by Google is kept according to Google's own policies.
9. Your rights
You can withdraw your advertising consent at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. To exercise your rights over the data processed by Google, use the tools in your Google account (myaccount.google.com). For any question, write to appsdelpages@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with the data protection authority of your country.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version in the app and at sushin-elpages.web.app/privacy with its update date.
